Anies Delivers Good News About COVID-19: The Use Of Insulation Beds Drops To 73 Percent

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said the daily use of isolation beds in 140 COVID-19 referral hospitals was 73 percent. Thus, this percentage means that there is an increase in the availability of isolation beds.

"In Jakarta, there are 140 hospitals that handle COVID-19, and the occupancy rate of yesterday's isolation beds was 73 percent", Anies told reporters at Monas, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 27.

The percentage is also, Anies continued as good news. Because, when compared to a few weeks ago, the use of isolation beds reached 95 percent.

In addition, based on the data, ICU room occupancy is still quite high. Of the 140 referral hospitals for handling COVID-19, 95 percent of the ICU rooms have been filled.

But, even then there is other good news. Because there are no more COVID-19 patients being treated in the Emergency Room (IGD).

"Well, the ER is empty. It means that there are only a few new patients and even if there are new patients, beds for inpatients are available", said Anies.

For information, the decrease in the use of isolation beds was also conveyed by Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria. He said this was influenced by the decline in positive cases of COVID-19.

Last week, the daily use of isolation beds in 140 COVID-19 referral hospitals was 87 percent and ICUs 93 percent. Currently, the occupancy of isolation beds has dropped to 77 percent and ICU 88 percent.

"In general, this is indeed a bed improvement", said Riza when met in South Jakarta, Saturday, July 24.
