JAKARTA - The National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has instructed all Polda and Polres throughout Indonesia to hold a rally and continue to carry out large-scale patrols to distribute social assistance to the community.
Sigit said that the large-scale patrol for the distribution of social assistance was carried out to provide a sense of security and calm to the community in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic or the Coronavirus.
"To the ranks of the Regional Police and Polres, at 21.00 WIB, they will carry out an apple activity and continue with large-scale patrols for distributing social assistance", said Sigit in a written statement, Jakarta, Friday, July 23.
The former Banten Police Chief stressed that the ranks of the Regional Police and the Resort Police would later distribute social assistance to the people who were most affected by the economy.
According to Sigit, the handover of social assistance distributed by the Government through the TNI-Polri aims to help and ease the burden on the community in the midst of the current implementation of PPKM (Restrictions on Community Activities) Level 4.
"All of our efforts are for the safety of the community. Of course, we all hope that the growth rate of Covid-19 will decrease so that people can return to their activities. Hopefully, everything we do becomes a field of charity for all of us", said Sigit.
In carrying out large-scale patrols accompanied by the distribution of social assistance, Sigit emphasized all his staff continue to prioritize a humanist approach to the community.
