Lecture Of Diversity In Pupuk Kaltim, Sukidi Fights For Equality In Diversity

JAKARTA - In the midst of torn apart the moral values of this nation, diversity must be maintained, preserved, and upheld as a moral principle of living together equally and harmoniously.

This was emphasized by Sukidi's diversity thinker at the Diversity Lecture with the theme "Pancasila, Gotong Royong, and Dream Indonesia Gold 2045" in front of two hundreds of employees of Pupuk Kaltim, Subsidiary, JVC and Foundation which took place at the Head Office of Pupuk Kaltim, Monday 12 June.

Sukidi invites us to explore the motto of this nation, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, so that all components of the nation are able to build beautiful Chinese mosaics with the bond of unity and integrity. Indonesia must always stand upright on the foundation of pluralism consisting of various ethnicities, races, customs, and religions.

"Obviously it has become a national consensus. If there are parties who want to tear up the consensus of diversity, then this action is tantamount to destroying our consensus as a diverse nation," said Sukidi.

Our task, according to Sukidi, is to care for the noble heritage of diversity that has been laid by the founding fathers of the nation as a value foundation to advance Indonesia, which always stands upright and firmly above diversity. For this reason, Sukidi reminded that diversity can only stand tall with three main conditions: first, diversity must always be accompanied by a basic attitude of tolerance to grow tolerance, tepo juruho, and price each other among citizens, without any differences in majority' and minority'' in maintaining the integrity and harmony of the nation.

"This Republic was established to protect all Indonesian citizens," said Sukidi referring to the mandate of the founder of the republic.

Second, diversity must also be accompanied by ethics to give mutual respect to each other equally (ethic of mutual respect), because every citizen always has human dignity and dignity that must be respected by anyone. Finally, diversity may only be upright if every citizen works together to celebrate and build an Indonesian mosaic with a single Ika Bhinneka. Because diversity must be accompanied by an attitude to be actively involved in realizing unity in diversity.

"These three things must be the main guide in caring for and advancing Indonesia's diversity," said Sukidi.

Sukidi invited the extended family of Pupuk Kaltim to always ground Pancasila, with the spirit of mutual cooperation which is the core of Pancasila itself, to welcome 100 years of Indonesian independence.

"The philosophy of diversity and Pancasila is the main guide in welcoming Indonesia Gold 2045," he said.

Sukidi advised that Pupuk Kaltim stand at the forefront to be an example in realizing the spirit of unity in diversity. This spirit should continue to be put forward by the company's people, in order to maintain Indonesia's integrity in the midst of the challenges of a complex nation.

Director of Operations and Production of Pupuk Kaltim Hanggara Patrianta, welcomed Sukidi's positive and appreciation for the diversity lecture, in order to increase the sense of unity and integrity of all company members as part of the Indonesian nation.

Hanggara said that the application of Pancasila and diversity values in the Pupuk Kaltim environment is always held firmly in encouraging the improvement of company performance. This is shown by mutual support and respecting diversity through the slogan 'Unity in Diversity', which is continuously echoed and inspired by Pupuk Kaltim in building solidity and collaboration with a high spirit of solidarity.

"Because the cohesiveness of all company members is the main capital for Pupuk Kaltim to face challenges, as well as capture every opportunity that exists. The spirit of solidarity, tolerance and mutual respect is the basis for Pupuk Kaltim to be bigger and stronger that is embedded through the spirit of the corona," said Hanggara.

Through this activity, Hanggara also hopes that all members of Pupuk Kaltim can continue to strengthen awareness of diversity as Indonesians, who always uphold the values of Pancasila and the fighting spirit to be better. This is also part of Pupuk Kaltim's commitment to the progress of the nation, by fostering a sense of love for the homeland and mutual respect for each other, especially within the company.

"Pupuk Kaltim has represented the spirit of diversity, because all employees come from different ethnicities, religions and backgrounds. This is not a barrier, but rather further strengthens the sense of togetherness as a whole unit in supporting the company's progress, in order to support food security and the national economy," concluded Hanggara.
