JAKARTA - Huawei Indonesia together with the Directorate General of Electricity, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) collaborated in promoting Photovoltaic (PV) safety standards on solar panel technology.

Through a workshop entitled 'Smart Safety Technology for PV Plants', Huawei Indonesia describes the role of digital technology such as communication networks, data processing and smart diagnosis as well as digital transformation in the installation of Solar Power Plants (PLTS).

The use of digital technology is expected to reconstruct the safety and security design of Electricity in the installation of Solar Power Plants (PLTS), for the development of a healthy industry.

"In the complex solar panel installation scenario, Huawei prioritizes implementing security standards to prevent incidents, injuries, and protect workers, machinery, materials and buildings," said Jin Song, CEO of Digital Power Huawei Indonesia in a written statement on Friday, December 27.

Jin also hopes that the cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources can improve safety and security standards in the installation of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Huawei is committed to encouraging the use of developing digital technology, such as 5G, cloud computing, AI, and big data, as an important foundation for the electric power industry in accelerating the new chapter of the global technical revolution.

Over the past five years, Huawei Digital Power has collaborated with its strategic partners to support the development of green energy in Indonesia by building a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) installation of more than 750 MW in more than 600 solar power plants in Indonesia.
