JAKARTA No one had ever thought that Artificial Intelligence (AI) could become principal, but this really happened at the Cottesmore School, a boarding school in England.

A chatbotAI named Abigail Bailey was appointed principal, assisting the principal of the original Cottesmore School, Tom Rogerson, in deciding various matters.

Bailey will advise on the relationship between teachers and school staff, giving ways out in helping children learn and providing additional needs, to other school needs.

Bailey's way of working is the same as ChatbotAI ChatGPT, where Rogerson can ask a question and Bailey will answer it with information gathered from various sources.

To Telegraph, Rogerson said that leading the school was not an easy thing. Having a companion like Bailey is certainly the right tool.

The school, which is located in West Sussex, does apply AI to their education system, especially when they work with one of the AI developers.

Not only using AI as school principal, all students aged four to thirteen were also given a personal chat to help them in learning.

According to Regorson, the application of AI is a big step towards the future. However, this AI is only used to assist, not replace the role of teachers or face-to-face education.
