Carbon Emissions Predicted To Reach The Highest Figure This Year

JAKARTA - Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are expected to reach the highest figure this year, according to scientists, as reported byDailymail. In fact, CO2 was predicted to fall by about five percent.

So far, the projection of carbon emissions shows that all vehicles and the factory sector will produce higher emissions, namely 0.5 percent to 1.5 percent. This percentage is a difficult challenge in facing climate change.

All countries have tried to prevent global warming through the Paris Agreement. Even 195 countries participated in it in order to suppress global warming of up to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.

However, looking at the research conducted by CICERO Research Director Glen Peters, the Paris Agreement will experience problems. The reason is, it took them 5 years to reduce the global warming rate, but this year it is predicted to be the highest carbon emission rate.

This high carbon emission is certainly very likely because many countries and their communities are restoring their economy after the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition, the energy crisis also emerged due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, coupled with the war between Israel and Hamas which has lasted for nearly two weeks.

The various military hardware that will be used may produce more carbon emissions than ever imagined. If this happens, global warming will be increasingly difficult to overcome.

Scientists have warned of the danger of global temperatures crossing its limits. If the global temperature is more than 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial temperatures, the Earth's climate will experience serious danger.
