Parking Parks In Space Can Prevent Density In Orbit

JAKARTA - The number of satellites in space has exploded, impacting traffic in orbit. In preventing traffic congestion problems, a number of engineers from Purdue University suggest building a parking lot in space.

Quoted fromSpace, this parking lot can be a solution to congestion that may occur in the future. The reason is, the satellite launched in 2030 is estimated to increase up to 10 times from this year.

If the orbital traffic is congested, the risk of intersatellite collisions will increase. Therefore, a number of researchers at Purdue University believe the importance of parking space needs for spacecraft. This facility will be a good preventive measure.

Assistant Professor of Aeronautics and Astronotics of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Purdue David Arnas realized that humans will not be able to track all satellites in orbit accurately, but this issue still needs to be addressed for future generations.

Currently, researchers are looking for ways to set up all satellites in space. In addition, they also expect the right parking space for spacecraft such as near Earth or the moon.

These researchers want to make sure that satellite piles in one region can have a bad impact. There must be concrete solutions, such as moving satellites to other regions, to reduce congestion.

Policy rules regarding the placement of satellites in space itself are still fairly weak. However, in the future, the policy regarding the placement of this satellite is expected to be able to develop and apply properly.
