JAKARTA - Telegram tries to keep its users by launching the Stories feature, which has a lot of capabilities. The feature that users have been waiting for finally arrived.

Stories or Stories are a platform for users to share moments and status with friends, which other social media like Meta's Instagram also has.

"We spent months innovating and perfecting it. Stories on Telegram have all the features you expect, including features that have not been thought of before," said Telegram.

This launch also celebrates Telegram's 10th anniversary, "Over the past decade, we have created hundreds of new features that are now being used by more than 800 million people," the company said.

Stories on Telegram

Stories will be displayed in a separate menu that can be expanded at the top of the screen, so users can still view full lists of their chats and folders.

When watching Stories, users can share it, reply personally, react by giving likes or being resistant to using hundreds of other reactions.

Users will view Stories of all contacts on the homepage, hiding Stories from certain contacts by sending them into chat archives.

Different from Stories on Instagram, users can choose the time for how long Stories can be seen by others, be it 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours.

Stories can be posted on the profile, which will later be arranged in a box. Each uploaded Stories will have separate privacy settings so that users can always control which ones others can see.

Double Camera Mode

Telegram also brings the ability to take photos or videos from the front and rear cameras simultaneously while recording Stories. That way, users can set the trapping position including when recording.

Stickers, Locations, And Information

Still in the Stories feature, users can enter text, images, stickers, tag locations, add more than one image from the gallery, or use search features to find GIFs and images from the web.

In addition, any elements in Stories can also be changed, such as visibility, information, stickers, or other additions without the need to delete and post them again from scratch.

When posting Stories, users will be presented from four privacy settings, namely Everyone, My contacts, Close Friends, and Selected Contacts. Each option can be fully customized or customized as needed by including or excluding certain users.

Users will also view the audience list after posting Stories. However, they can open it to view the list, which can then be filtered by showing contact only and sorting based on the latest broadcast or reaction first.

For anonymity, Premium users can activate Secret Mode. All story broadcasts they did in the last 5 minutes and the next 25 minutes will be deleted.
