JAKARTA - PT Dwi Tunggal Puta (DTP) officially launched BuanterOne, a Low Earth Orbit Satellite, which is a form of collaboration with OneWeb at the 2023 Indonesia Internet Expo & Summit (IIXS).

"Today, we are proud to state that BuanterOne is here to solve the problem of internet access in Indonesia which is still hampered by limited geographical and infrastructure challenges, especially in the 3T areas, frontier, outermost and lagging behind", Michael Alifen as Chief Executive Officer of DTP in his speech on Thursday, August 10 in Jakarta.

According to Michael, the launch of BuanterOne is also a concrete form of DTP support in providing internet access, as well as an equal distribution of digital transformation proclaimed by President Joko Widodo.

With OneWeb's sophisticated satellite network, BuanterOne is claimed to be able to provide fast and reliable internet access to areas that were previously difficult to reach.

"This is not just an ordinary internet service, but is a great opportunity for ISP friends as members of APJII and business people to improve their services and have a positive impact on people in 3T areas", said APJII Chairman, Muhammad Arif Anga.

Not only that, on the same occasion, David Thorn, as Vice President, APAC from OneWeb also said that currently DTP is building a Satellite Network Portal (SNP) for OneWeb, not only for Indonesia, but also for several neighboring countries.
