JAKARTA - At present, technological developments are increasing rapidly thanks to the support of public demand. One of the rapidly developing technologies is the smart home and Close Circuit Television (CCTV).

According to the 2022 Regional Outlook and Forecast report entitled "Global Smart Home Services Market Size, Share and Industry Trends Analysis Report," it was explained that the smart home market experienced market growth of 10.2 percent from 2022 to 2028.

In line with that, CCTV products have also increased every year. The report from Future Market Insight entitled "Smart Home Security Camera Market Outlook (2022-2032)" in 2021, revealed that global demand for smart home security cameras is predicted to increase by 20.02 percent in 2022 to 2032.

With the increasing demand for CCTV every year, CCTV technology providers also continue to innovate to meet market trends. From analog CCTV, it developed into a CCTV Wireless Network Camera that uses the internet, then became a wire-free security camera, namely wireless CCTV.

Wireless CCTV uses a rechargeable battery. Apart from that, the advantage of this feature is that it can be placed anywhere, easy installation, neat, and no cables that are easy for children to reach.

In February 2023, TP-Link Indonesia or TP-Link will issue a new series of wireless IP Camera CCTV products from the TAPO sub-brand, namely TAPO C420S1 and TAPO C420S2.

TAPO focuses on providing smart home products. TAPO itself comes from the word “tap all” which means everything can be controlled and tapped from a smartphone. With TAPO, TP-Link wants to provide smart home products that can be controlled via a smartphone.

Apart from Wire Free-Placement or cable-free installation, these two products have the advantage of being rechargeable and removable batteries. That is, the batteries of the two series are rechargeable and removable. Normal use can last up to 180 days or 6 months.

The camera quality is 2K QHD, which is clear and colorful even in dark conditions with full color night vision supported by the starlight sensor, clearer than infra-red.

In addition, these two series are also equipped with smart artificial intelligence (AI) and notifications which function to identify people, pets or cars, as well as provide notifications to users as needed.

With the presence of these two new series, TP-Link Indonesia wants to provide a choice of smart CCTV IP cameras that are easy to use.
