JAKARTA - SEGA and Sports Interactive revealed that the PlayStation 5 version of the Football Manager 2023 Console will not debut on November 8, as previously planned.

This news was shared through an announcement on its official Twitter, which said that the delay was due to an unforeseen complication that arose during the submission and approval process.

"We are devastated by this result, which we have been working tirelessly with our partners for several weeks to try to address it," said Miles Jacobson, Director of Studio Sports Interactive.

Jacobson also revealed how difficult it was to make the decision to postpone it.

"That it is very difficult to make the decision to postpone, because it involves holding back a great game that has been working so hard by a number of talented people in SI for some time," he explained.

However, neither the developer nor the publisher is trying to continue to do everything in their power to get the game into the hands of PS5 gamers as soon as possible.

For this reason, SEGA and Sports Interactive promise to provide an update regarding this issue as soon as possible.

The studio said that customers who have pre-ordered through the PSN Digital storefront will have their orders canceled and full refunds will be made in accordance with Sony's platform policies.

"Please note that no action is required on behalf of the customer to receive a refund. All other games in the FM23 suite are currently in progress for a November 8 release."
