JAKARTA - The virtual world and VR (Virtual Reality) are getting more and more popular, especially when Meta Quest 2 was launched two years ago, most of the time people spend in the VR world.

During Meta Connect, the company announced that they are developing Meta Horizon Worlds on the web to allow everyone to be able to pick up your phone or laptop and visit friends hanging out in VR, and vice versa.

"We're also announcing a new social innovation we're working on with the YouTube VR team. If you're hanging out with friends on Meta Horizon Home, you'll soon be able to watch YouTube videos together," Meta said in its announcement.

According to the company, YouTube will feel more like a shared experience on the Meta Quest Platform.

If you're hanging out with friends on Meta Horizon Home, you'll soon be able to open YouTube and watch videos together, as if you were watching a live event together.

Not only watching, but the company owned by Mark Zuckerberg also says that they can also multitask, such as saving YouTube videos while you work, or surfing the web on Home. Just don't let your boss know.

"And we're working closely with the YouTube team to make this experience even more flexible in the future. You'll soon be able to take your YouTube videos (via 2D panels) to other VR apps," the company said.
