Horror Game Titled The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me Will Be Released In November

JAKARTA - Today, Thursday, August 25, Supermassive Games showcased a trailer for its new game, The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, on Twitter and YouTube.

In the uploaded trailer, Supermassive announced that the adventure horror genre game will be released on November 18, 2022 for Xbox, PlayStation, as well as PC.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me is the conclusion to Season 1 of the narrative horror series Supermassive. The game will focus on a documentary crew invited to a replica of serial killer HH Holmes' "Murder Castle".

Before long, they were caught up in various life or death scenarios. You'll start solving puzzles that may end up sacrificing each other.

"In addition to runtime improvements with 7+ hours of playback, the next installment of the franchise brings all new features to further enhance player immersion and exploration," the developer said in his blog.

On top of that, Supermassive also adds an inventory system, where each character has a number of tools that can be used to assist them in the game such as a pointing microphone, camera and camera flash, tie pins and reporter pencils, and other items.

The developer revealed that there are some objects that can even be changed, broken, or given to other characters, and some of these items can save lives, or even take them away.

"This story isn't just about running and hiding. You have to use your thinking skills, because the game will also include puzzles. You have to find codes, hidden or disguised in the world, open antique fuse boxes and find your way out of the maze, and failure may prove to be very costly," the developer added about the game.

You can play with your friends in multiplayer mode. You can play together online or by using a controller in co-op mode.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, available for pre-order now, will be releasing on November 18, 2022, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Steam.
