JAKARTA - In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the success of the famous All-Wheel Drive (AWD) drive system, Subaru again held the 'Subaru DriveFest' event in Batam, Riau Islands.

At the event, Subaru introduced two of its newest products, namely Subaru Crosstrek 50 Years All-Wheel Drive Edition and the latest variant of Subaru Outback. This exhibition takes place from 6 to 12 November 2023 at Atrium Grand Batam Mall.

Arie Christopher, CEO of Subaru Indonesia, stated that Batam was chosen as the last destination in this series of events to introduce the superior technology of the manufacturer with the'six star' logo, which is known for its reliability in driving.

"Located in Batam, we celebrate the closing of the 50th anniversary of All Wheel Drive, as one of the core technologies that confirms Subaru's commitment to driving safety and satisfaction," said Arie in an official statement received by VOI, Tuesday, November 7.

This special edition crosstrek features a modern exterior design equipped with the All Terrain tires for light off-road travel, as well as an interesting cryptal black finish. Subaru also highlighted AWD's 50-year-old logo and emblem on the back of the head, adding to the exclusive impression on the interior.

The model is only available in limited quantities, with only 15 units sold in Indonesia at a price of IDR 450.5 million on the Batam OTR. Meanwhile, the Subaru Outback 2.5i-Touring EyeSight is priced at IDR 629.5 million on the Batam OTR.
