JAKARTA - Aziz Hayat alias Jaz, a singer from Brunei Darussalam, plans to celebrate his 10 years of music career in Indonesia by holding a concert in 2024.

"(The plan in 2024) may have a concert, you don't have to be big, to celebrate because I've been here for 10 years," said Jaz in Cipayung, East Jakarta last week.

Jaz saw a concert that was important. The reason is, he feels that not many know him, even though he knows several songs that have been performed.

"Because I've never held a concert before, I don't need to be big, because I think many people know my song but don't know who it is," said Jaz.

"I want to get to know them, just get closer," he added.

In addition to concerts, Jaz also wants to develop himself as a songwriter and producer.

He is also working on an album that is scheduled to be released in May 2024. The album has been partially worked on, and Jaz will release a single before the album comes out.

Talking about his career in Indonesia, Jaz admitted that he was hard and hoped to have a long career. Compared to Brunei Darussalam, Jaz feels that he can develop more in Indonesia.

Starting from the late grandmother who introduced him to Indonesian music, Jaz was grateful to be a part of the national music industry.

"So, having the opportunity here I'm really grateful to be here for 10 years," concluded Jaz.
