Shaggydog To The Jembar Background Orchestra Will Appear In Lokananta 67

Dozens of musicians and band groups will enliven the event of Lokananta 67 which will be held in the Lokananta area, Surakarta, Central Java, today, Sunday, October 29.

Unlike the 2023 Lokananta Festival last June, which presented national well-known musicians and bands, the Lokananta 67 event will feature the best musicians and bands from the latest local decrees from Surakarta, Yogyakarta and its surroundings.

Musicians and bands that will appear are Shaggydog, Down For Life, Solonensis, MTAD, Malinoa and The Dogpack, Malu2x, The Glow, Man Osman, Laju Memanas, Orkes Background Jembar, Malinoa & The Dogpack, The Mudub to Kid Monster.

The line-up mentioned above will later take turns on two stages, namely an outdoor stage called Lokananta 67 and a stage in a room called Studio Gigs Lokananta.

Wendi Putranto as CEO of PT Ruang Riang Lokananta, an operator from Lokananta, said that the selection of local musicians and band groups aims to introduce them to the wider public.

"Lokanata 67 has one of the talent scouting missions featuring the best showcases from local Solo Raya bands that have the potential to later be introduced to the wider public outside the city through various events, tours or venues at the M Bloc Group creative circuit in various cities," Wendi Putranto said in his statement, Saturday, October 28.

"Hopefully the best bands in this city can advance to class and strengthen the regeneration of musical talent on a national scale," he continued.

In addition, a special collaboration is being prepared by the band Ska R-Slide with a young gamelan music group, Artaxiad Gamelan Syndicate.

Not only music concerts, the Lokananta 67 event will also be enlivened by music recording sales outlets and merchandise from the merchant community who are members of the Record Store Day Solo.
