Marty Friedman Enjoys 2 Appearances Of His Guest With Megadeth: That's Amazing

JAKARTA - In an interview with Metalhead Marv of This Day In Metal recently, former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman expressed his feelings about his return to the stage with Megadeth.

Marty rejoined his former band twice on stage in the first six months of this year. First in February in Tokyo, the famous Budokan in Japan. and then in early August at the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany.

"It's amazing. We have a beautiful history together, so when something special like that comes up, it's something I definitely want to do. And the two of us (with Dave Mustaine) enjoy it very much. And I hope the fans enjoy it the same as us," said Marty.

"For us, it was a very fun thing to do, a kind of exciting sign to what we do in band history. And, of course, I am the biggest fan of anything they do when I am not there and continue to support them throughout the journey."

At this year's Wacken Open Air, Marty performed four songs with Megadeth: Trust, Tornado Of Souls, Symphony Of Destruction, and Holy Wars... The Punishment Due.

Di Budokan. Friedman got on stage to perform three songs towards the end of Megaderth's main set, namely Countdown To Extinction, Tornado Of Souls, and Symphony Of Destruction.

Friedman also revealed that the biggest challenge he faced during his appearance at Budokan with Megadeth was showing his guitar solo in the same way fans remember from his initial stint with this thrash metal giant.
