JAKARTA - The Beatles tribute band from Jakarta, G-Pluck, presented a warm and special night by inviting one of the audience to the stage of the Liverpool International Beatleweek Festival 2023, Monday (28/8).
Up the Cavern Live Lounge stage at 11.30 pm local time, the band fronted by Garnida Clouds (bass), Gilang Pramudya (guitar/vocals), Fery Gustian (guitar/vocals), Beni Pratama (drums), and Aufa Kantadiredja (keyboards/vocals) played plenaryly bringing the Beatles hit numbers, including "Day Tripper", "Where Man", "If I Needed", "Something", "Don't Let Me Down", and "Come Together".
In the middle of the performance, bass player Awan Garnida invited one of the audience named Joe Kane to get on stage. Without waiting long, Joe immediately jumped onto the stage and joined G-Pluck.
While on stage, Joe stated that he was also a member of a tribute band The Beatles named Them Beatles. Without hesitation, Joe appreciated the appearance of the G-Pluck throughout the Liverpool International Beatleweek Festival which had entered its sixth day.
"They (G-Pluck) are the most amazing Beatles tribute bands I've ever seen in my entire life. No doubt, they are amazingly cool," Joe said from the stage before singing the song "Penny Lane" with G-Pluck accompanied by a mass audience, quoted by Antara.
As if not satisfied with just enjoying a song, the audience then asked G-Pluck and Joe to return to collaboration. So, medley from the album "Aby Road" namely "Golden Slumbers" / "Carry That Weight" / "The End" in 1969 also launched smoothly on the Cavern Live Lounge. G-Pluck closed the warm night atmosphere on Cavern Live Lounge through the most massive anthem of John Lennon's quartet, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr which was "Hey Jude" taken from the 1968 album "The Beatles".
