Tracing Cavern, G-Pluck Becomes A Tourist Photo Leader: Hey, You Are Very Similar To The Beatles!

JAKARTA - The Beatles tribute music unit from Jakarta, G-Pluck, became the subject of interesting photos for a number of tourists when the band searched Mathew Street 10 which was the location of the Cavern Club.

After appearing at the Cavern Pub at the Liverpool International Beatleweek Festival 2023 Monday afternoon local time, the band consisting of Garnida Clouds (bass), Gilang Pramudya (guitar/vocals), Fery Gustian (guitar/vocals), Beni Pratama (drums), and Aufa Kantadiredja (keyboards/vocals) were deliberately traveling through the Mathew Street 10 area.

Appearing wearing a black leather jacket depicting the early formation of The Beatles in the early 60s made Awan Garnida et al. become the center of attention of tourists crowding the area.

"Hey, you guys look very similar to The Beatles. John and the best George!" shouted one of the women from a cafe who then asked permission to capture momentum with G-Pluck personnel, quoted from Antara, Tuesday.

The momentum was repeated several times along the Mathew Street 10 road until finally G-Pluck personnel were engrossed in interacting with travelers who made them the subject of the photo.

"We are from Indonesia. Tonight we will still play at the Cavern Live Lounge at 10 pm. Come, yes," said Awan to a number of tourists who replied nod.

So far, Cavern Club is famous as one of the historical places for The Beatles' career, which first appeared on February 9, 1961. At the Cavern Club, The Beatles also met a music store and columnist owner named Brian Epstein who later became manager for Paul McCartney's quartet, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.

The presence of the G-Pluck at the Liverpool International Beatleweek Festival 2023 representing Indonesia is a special thing because the festival is the largest event in the world for Beatles fans from all over the world.

G-Pluck will complete their series of performances at the festival on Tuesday (29/8) at the Cavern Club Front stage at 8 p.m. and Cavern Pub at 10 p.m. local time.

After completing the stage at Liverpool, Awan Garnida et al. will continue the series of tours of those who have full support from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research, and Technology, Bank BCA, and JavaMifi to several locations in the Netherlands and Germany.

In the Netherlands, G-Pluck will appear at Tong Tong Fair The Hague. After that, they will continue their journey to Germany to play at Alte Feuerwache Koyln and Indra Club Hamburg.
