JAKARTA - There was a unique moment when the Beatles tribute music group, G-Pluck, obtained an in chip or tip from one of the spectators at Cavern Pub on the fifth day of the Liverpool International Beatleweek Festival 2023, Monday (28/8) afternoon local time.

In the midst of the band's performance, one of the women who watched spontaneously went to the edge of the stage and then gave a 5-pound sum for G-Pluck personnel.

Responding to this, joked bass player Awan Garnida then joked that the donation from the audience was very valuable to bring the band back to a similar event next year.

"We've always enjoyed playing here, especially since this is our second year at Beatleweek. Hopefully, this 5-pound contribution will ease our steps to come back next year and meet all of you," explained Awan smiling from the stage before singing the song "Money" which immediately received a festive aplus from hundreds of viewers, quoted by Antara.

G-Pluck consisting of Garnida Clouds (bass), Gilang Pramudya (guitar/vocals), Fery Gustian (guitar/vocals), Beni Pratama (drums), and Aufa Kantadiredja (keyboards/vocals) that afternoon appeared wearing black jackets depicting the formation of The Beatles in the early 60s.

Playing for 45 minutes, the band played some of the champion numbers popularized by Paul MacCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr including "Devil in Her Heart", "Ask Me Why", "Slow Down", Twist and Shout", "Do You Want to Know A Secret", " proceed Don't", "I Saw Her Standing There", and "Rock n' Roll Music".

"It's really fun to perform here. G-Pluck is flying for 20 hours from Indonesia to Liverpool just to meet all of you here. It's great. Pray that we can come back here next year and we can have fun together again," added Awan.
