JAKARTA - The legend of power metal from Germany, Helloween canceled their appearance this weekend at the Metal Festival in Helsinki, Finland and the Bloodstock Open Air festival in Derbyshire, England due to the "acute throat midfielder" suffered by vocalist Michael Kiske.

Replacing Helloween at the Hellsinki Metal Festival is Apocalyptica, while KK'S Priest, a new band featuring founder guitarist Judas Priest, KK Downing, will replace Helloween at Bloodstock Open Air.

"The big storm in Slovenia (our thoughts with the flood victims) and the cloud bursts in Wacken could not harm us - we played all our scheduled shows and celebrated together with our loyal fans," Helloween said in a statement.

"It is much more difficult for us now to let you know that we have to cancel our upcoming festival performances at the Hellsinki Metal Festival in Finland and the Bloodstock Open Air in the UK due to acute throat inflammation suffered by our vocalist Michael Kiske.

"We made this decision with a lot of consideration and with a heavy heart but Michael's condition unfortunately gave us no other choice. Thank you for your understanding."

Helloween has just completed a "United Forces" tour in North America with support from Swedish metal band Hammerfall.
