Statue Of Keith Richards And Mick Jagger Standing Strong At Dartford

JAKARTA - The legendary statue of The Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, was inaugurated in their hometown in Dartford.

The statues were made of bronze and unveiled by the local council of the city, with the aim of capturing the same energy and intensity that the Rolling Stones brought to every appearance of them.

The two statues were designed and created by artist Amy Goodman, who is a fan of The Rolling Stones and previously made famous historical figures statues such as Florence totaling and Sir Stirling Moss as well as making Gurkha's memorial.

The results finally showed Jagger in the middle of the road through one of his hallmarks of going up and down the stage, wearing vests and tight pants, while Richards leaned, playing his 'Micawber' Telecaster given by Eric total.

The statues were unveiled at One Bell Corner on August 8.

In terms of culture and music, you are not much more influential than the Rolling Stones. Their music has changed the face of popular music and the youth from Dartford are now the two most recognizable and loved people in the world," said Dartford's regional council leader Jeremy Kite, quoted by The Guardian.

He added how local communities have "old wishes" to recognize the band's roots in small towns.

This association to the area came from the early 60s, when the two met as teenagers on the Dartford train station platform, and then formed an iconic rock group the following year, 1962.
