Kia EV5 Officially Listed On China, Prices Starting From IDR 319 Million

JAKARTA- After officially launching the EV5 in August 2023 globally, now the electric car is already present in China, which launched at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2023.

Interestingly, the price of the electric car is far from expected, and is below the Tesla Model Y. The electric SUV is priced from US$20,700 or around Rp319 million, for the Tesla Model Y itself, it is marketed at US$37,000 or Rp570 million.

This electric car is also equipped with Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), including a double cluster that is integrated into an infotainment screen that gives a luxurious impression. And it is designed simply with a small button, resulting in a minimalist feel.

Based on the Hyundai E-GMP platform, the standard trim Kia EV5, starting from 20,700 Aad dollars, is equipped with 64.2 kWh BYD Blade batteries and 160 kW motorcycles, providing a range of up to 530 km. The long-range model is equipped with an 88.1 kWh battery capable of traveling up to 720 km.

In more detail, Kia EV5 has a length of 4,615 mm, a width of 1,875 mm, and a height of 1,715 mm. The Kia electric SUV will compete with electric vehicles at a low price from BYD and Tesla.
