Is Everything Elon Musk Said About Tesla Cybertruck Right?

JAKARTA - Recently, owner X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk, posted on his personal account about the superiority of one of his flagship products, the currently being produced Tesla Cybertruck.

"We may be able to offer an optional tungsten carbide layer, which is basically anti-gores against everything under diamond violence," Musk wrote on Thursday, September 14.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, is known for making bold claims about his company's products, including the Cybertruck, a futuristic pickup vehicle owned by this electric car manufacturer.

For example, about a year ago, quoted from InsideEVs, September 14, Musk said that Cybertruck would be able to "cross rivers, lakes and even less bumpy seas" thanks to a feature called Boat Mode.

Musk even said that the Cybertruck "will be water resistant enough to use for a moment as a boat," with a push coming from the wheel.

The latest is the claim that the Cybertruck will "retain scratches" on almost anything except something as strong as a diamond. However, can this electric truck really avoid scratches?

The idea proposed by Musk sounds brilliant given the number of reports of intentional scratch incidents on a parked Tesla car. However, the idea of using tungsten carbide as a layer on the Cybertruck certainly sounds very bold, especially as no other automotive manufacturer has ever used it to coat the body of a production car before.

However, Porsche once used tungsten carbides as a layer on their sports car brakes to reduce wear, prevent carats, and remove brake dust.

According to German chemical company Linde, reported by Teslarati, when combined with a small amount of metal powder, tungsten carbide can be converted into a carbide layer known for its high resistance to abrasion, erosion, and aus.

Who knows, maybe Tesla has tested this cubide tungsten layer option so far with a whole body wrapper and Musk dares to boast about this.
