TAM Launches Hybrid Alphard At GIIAS 2023, Strengthens Electrification Commitment

JAKARTA - PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), the official distributor of Toyota vehicles in Indonesia, presented the leading premium MPV variant, Alphard Hybrid, at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

With the launch of the Alphard Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Toyota has clearly underlined its commitment to electrified vehicles and strengthened the ranks of hybrid models offered for consumers in Indonesia.

Hiroyuki Ueda, President Director of PT TAM, expressed his joy in in introducing this Hybrid Alphard to the Indonesian market. Moreover, the Alphard model has been part of the Indonesian automotive market for almost two decades.

Ueda warmly welcomed, "We continue to grow along with the luxury and innovation of our journey to reduce carbon emissions. We are proud to present our new electric vehicle, the Alphard Hybrid."

Toyota has made a series of improvements to this latest Alphard model, including in its exterior, interior, and overall performance aspects. Attempts to improve passenger comfort can be seen from efforts to reduce vibrations and noise in this luxury car. With a length of 5,000 mm and a width of 1,850 mm, the car offers extra comfort to all passengers.

In the design with the theme "Forceful x Impact Luxury", the front of this car is undergoing a striking transformation compared to the previous generation. A thinner and neater front light creates a fresh look.

Keep the impression of luxury, the latest Alphard still maintains a large goal. However, this MPV is even more amazing with the wider air intake, providing improvements in car aerodynamics.

The essence of MPV experiences like Alphard is certainly on the interior. Toyota has introduced new facilities such as Super-Long Overhead Console located on the ceiling of the car, Universal Step as a foothold for passengers, and the Pillar Long Assist Grip Center which makes it easier for passengers to get into the vehicle.

All New Alphard and Vellfire come with advanced features that take on the role of assistant drivers, including Intra-Lane Steering Assist, Deceleration Assist, Remote Park, Cruise Control, and Lane Tracing Assist.

Alphard HEV has a hybrid engine with a System A25A-FXS 2.5 liter Series Parallel Hybrid type, which is connected to e-CVT transmission. Consumers can choose between two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.

Regarding the price, Anton Jimmi Suwandi, Marketing Director of PT TAM, confirmed that the Alphard HEV was sold for IDR 1.6 billion. This MPV model is an imported product from Japan and can be ordered from now on.
