Jamie Foxx Sued For Alleged Sexual Harassment In 2015

JAKARTA - Jamie Foxx was reported on suspicion of sexual harassment at a bar in New York in 2015. A woman who goes by the name Jane Doe reported the comedian on Wednesday, November 22.

Launching Variety, this woman claims Foxx took her into a closed corner area at Catch NYC. Then, Foxx started holding her body without her permission or asking the woman.

According to the report, this woman and a friend sat at the table next to Foxx who was sitting with Mark Birnbaum, the owner of the bar. At around 01.00, the girl's friend stood up and asked for a photo with Foxx.

Foxx said yes and then praised his friend. He claims Jamie Foxx said, "Wow, you have a body like a super model. The smell is very fragrant."

He explained that the security forces saw the incident but did not try to help. The girl's friend found him and Foxx stopped touching the woman and then left the place.

The plaintiff asked for compensation for hurt, emotion, worry and shame. This woman even underwent medical treatment due to the abuse.

Apart from Jamie Foxx, this woman also called Birnbaum a defendant because they seemed to let the abuse continue.

The lawsuit is one of many lawsuits filed under the Adult Victims Act in New York, which provides a one-year period of filing claims of sexual harassment that should be prohibited by restriction laws.

The deadline for filing the claim is Thursday. On the other hand, Foxx representatives have not yet responded.
