Released Official Trailer, Ancika 1995 Film Will Air January 11, 2024

JAKARTA - The sequel to the film Dilan 1990 and 1991, namely Ancika: He who is with me 1995 has just released their official trailer at a press conference at CGV Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, November 22.

The film Ancika 1995 is produced by the MD Entertainment production house together with Six Nine Productions. In addition, the film was directed by Benni Setiawan and produced by Budi Ismanto.

In a press conference, Budi tried to explain regarding the selection of the main character of Ancika 1995, namely Azizi Asadel as Ancika and Arbani Yasiz as Dilan.

"I have also been eyeing Arbani for a long time to play this character. And it turns out that when it was cast it was right. And when it was inside the camera and in the film, I really thought this was Dilan who really was," said Budi Ismanto at Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, November 22.

"For Zee, she is the most beautiful in my opinion. So the first time she casting, if Zee goes up the stairs, it's two straight away, I remember that, I saw 'wah is the most suitable'. So I didn't see her casting, I didn't see her acting, but look at her jumping stairs," continued Budi.

Furthermore, the director of the 1995 film Ancika, Benni Setiawan, said that he did not find too many difficulties when working on Pidi Baiq's 1995 Ancika novel into a film.

"I've written several times, and adapted a novel to a film. So actually there are no difficulties for me because I've done this media shift," said Benni.

He also felt that the figure of Pidi Baiq was very helpful in providing input to him in the process of working on films.

"Pidi baiq is quite providing a lot of input, then we can work together as well as coincidentally, I am a Sundanese person for a long time in Bandung too. So connect," he explained. Chosen to be the figure of Ancika in this film, Zee explained that he had little difficulty playing the figure of Ancika. Because Zee felt that Ancika's figure had the same character as himself in the real world.

"So I'm honest, I don't have any difficulties myself, for Ancika's character, because I have enough time to read about my role, I'm also really helped. So I don't feel difficult or anything because I feel that maybe Ancika's character is actually not that far from my original nature. So I'm really being myself, but it's different between Zee and Ancika," explained Zee.

The plan is for Ancika: He, who is with me in 1995, to be shown in all Indonesian cinemas starting January 11, 2024.
