Solo Album Jungkook BTS Sold 2 Million Kepings In A Day

JAKARTA - Jungkook BTS proved his popularity as a soloist without a doubt. In a day of release, his first solo album, GOLDEN has set a record along with its main track, Standing Next to You.

Hanteo Chart reported that Jungkook's debut album had sold 2,147,389 copies and became the first album to sell up to two million copies in a day of its release.

In addition, GOLDEN also became the highest sales in the first week of release for a solo album released by soloists.

With this achievement, Jungkook defeated the achievements previously achieved by BTS members, V through the Layover album which sold 1.6 million copies.

Jungkook is also the fourth artist to sell two million copies in a week of release following his own group, BTS, then SEVENTEEN, and Stray Kids.

Recently Spotify also announced Jungkook's song Seven with Latto being the fastest song with the largest total listeners, namely 1 billion. This figure is predicted to continue to grow considering that Jungkook has just released his new album.

He also wiped out the international music charts with his new album, resulting in an increasing total stream.

Standing Next to You is the third track to have a music video. Previously, Jungkook launched the pre-release track Seven with Latto and 3D with Jack Harlow.

In his latest album, GOLDEN also contains a number of collaborations such as with DJ Snake in the song Please Don't Change, Major Lazer in Closer to You. It was also revealed that Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes participated as writers in the songs Yes or No and Hate You.

This album has all English-language tracks that have drawn questions from the public. On one occasion, Jungkook revealed that this album will focus on the global market.

On the other hand, Jungkook will sing his first album in the GOLDEN live on Stage showcase on November 20.
