Director Of The Marvels Selects Park Seo Joon Because Itaewon Class

The director of The Marvels film, Nia DaCosta revealed the reason for choosing Park Seo Joon as one of the sequels to Captain Marvels. It is known that the South Korean actor plays Prince Yan.

DaCosta explained that it started when the COVID-19 pandemic where he began to explore Korean dramas.

I love Korean dramas. It's been a few years since I loved it. It started when I was a teenager," Nia DaCosta quoted SBS Star as saying.

Nia DaCosta even has her favorite Korean dramas, namely On Air, Soulmate, and My Lovely Sam Soon. One day, he was recommended by a friend to watch the drama Park Seo Joon, Itaewon Class.

"When the COVID-19 pandemic, I was recommended by Itaewon Class by several friends who said I would like the drama. So one day, I watched Itaewon Class. And Park Seo Joon's acting in the drama was amazing," he said again.

Itaewon Class premiered in early 2020 and became one of the most popular titles during its broadcast period. Not only the rating, when this drama was released on streaming services, this drama also became a public conversation.

Park Seo Joon also accepted the offer and he became Prince Yan as seen in the trailer. He is also the third South Korean actor to join the Marvel cinematic universe or MCU after Claudia Kim and Ma Dong Seok.

Prince Yan's character is a prince of Planet Aladna who has a habit of always speaking by singing. It is not yet known whether Park Seo Joon will sing in this film.
