Justin Timberlake Closes IG Comments Impact Of Britney Spears' Memoar

JAKARTA - Justin Timberlake tried to avoid public criticism after Britney Spears' memoir was released. Launching his personal account, all comments columns on his Instagram account have been closed since Tuesday, October 24 at the same time as the release of The Woman in Me.

Reportedly, this comment column was closed after several things from a memoir about his relationship with Spears were revealed to the public.

In fact, Justin Timberlake is promoting his latest work with *NSync after 20 years. Their latest song, Better Place, is the soundtrack for the film Trolls Band Together.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake dated from 1999 to 2002. Through her memoir, Spears revealed that she had had an abortion because Timberlake did not want to be a father.

"It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn't a tragedy. I really love Justin. I always wish we could be a family one day," wrote Britney Spears quoting from PEOPLE.

"But Justin is certainly not very happy about the news of his pregnancy. He said we weren't ready to have a baby in our lives, we were too young," Britney said of Justin's response.

"If the decision was on me personally, I wouldn't have done it (abortion). And Justin is very sure he doesn't want to be a father. To this day, it's one of the painful things I've ever felt in my life," said Britney Spears.

Because of their popularity at that time, the two of them kept pregnancy news and had a private abortion. Reportedly, Timberlake also saw the process and played the guitar for Spears. After that they ended their relationship in 2002 where Timberlake sent a message of breaking up with Spears.

In 2021, Justin Timberlake wrote an apology to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson for his statements in the past.

Before the memoir was released, a source said Justin Timberlake's family was trying to focus on their lives.

Justin focuses on his family and tries not to get involved with Britney's memoirs. Justin has always supported Britney from a distance. He still respects it. Justin and Jessica (Biel) just want everyone to grow up rather than talking about the past," a source told ET.

Justin Timberlake is married to actress Jessica Biel. They have two children, Silas and Phineas.
