JAKARTA - Key and SHINee's Taemin released an apology for their remarks on the latest YouTube content. They are allegedly racist when commenting on their group mate, Minho.

On September 26, SHINee uploaded the latest content entitled SHINee-ing. In the video, they talk about news to each other, including Minho who is busy exercising.

"Since you played golf, when I saw you, I only saw white in my eyes and laughed at it," said Taemin.

"Why do you look tan? If Minho closes her eyes and mouth at night, you will (look for) 'Minho?' added Key while moving his hands as if looking for Minho.

The comments made fans criticize the racist Key and Taemin. Aware of this, the two wrote an apology via SHINee's official social media.

The content production team started the statement by writing, "We sincerely apologize to everyone who is annoyed and hurt by the newly uploaded content on the SHINee channel."

"Inappropriate words and do not mean badly to be included in the conversation of the members. After we find out about this problem, we will immediately delete the clip," he continued.

They also said that Key and Taemin were reflecting on their actions and would not do the same.

"This is SHINee Key. I apologize deeply for my remarks in the latest content, and I spend time reflecting on the advice of fans," wrote Key SHINee.

"I would be more careful to make sure my words and attitudes are better. I'm sorry," he continued in English.

Taemin also conveyed the same thing as Key. He added his gratitude to the fans who gave them advice.

"Thanks to our fans, I understand why the comments I made were disrespectful and I would be wiser in being and saying words," said Taemin.
