Starring Donald Glover, Lando Series Changes Format To Film

JAKARTA - The Lando series starring Donald Glover will be made in a widescreen format. This series is the spin-off of the Star Wars franchise that continues to grow.

As the title implies, the Lando series focuses on Glover as Lando Calrissian, a character originally played by Billy Dee Williams in the trilogy version. Then, Glover played Lando in the 2018 film Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Previously, Lando was made in the form of a television series and will be released via Disney+ along with other Star Wars series such as The Mandalorian, Andor, and most recently Ahsoka.

However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, this plan has been changed and Lando will be made in a widescreen format.

Donald Glover as the main character also wrote his story with his younger brother, Stephen Glover. This format change was also discussed by Stephen Glover when he was a guest on the Pablo Torre Finds Out podcast.

The Lando project was first announced on Disney Day in December 2020. They revealed that Lando's character will have its own series.

On the other hand, it is not yet known when the Lando film will be released. With so many unreleased Star Wars films, the Lando film is likely scheduled to air in 2026 or 2027.
