Exclusive Contract Ends, YG Entertainment Still Discussing With BLACKPINK's Lisa

JAKARTA - The YG Entertainment agency explained a little about the news of Lisa BLACKPINK's contract. The youngest BLACKPINK member reportedly did not continue the exclusive contract with the agency he oversees from the start.

This started last July, a Chinese agency claimed they could not contact Lisa to appear on the show because Lisa had not yet discussed with YG about their contract. Lisa is scheduled to take care of the extension of BLACKPINK's contract this year.

At that time, YG Entertainment replied that they had not been able to take care of BLACKPINK's activities because they were still on a world tour.

"Jadwal is uncertain because of the individual tour schedule as well as activity. It has nothing to do with contract renewal. Contract updates are still in the discussion stage," YG Entertainment said.

BLACKPINK's concert tour will end soon this month, but neither BLACKPINK nor YG Entertainment have yet to provide news about their contract status. Rumors are starting to develop, one of which is Lisa accepting offers from other agencies and rejecting YG Entertainment's proposal.

Today, Friday, September 15, YG Entertainment responded to the news. They said, Lisa's contract update is being discussed. Nothing in the rumors was confirmed.

BLACKPINK, which is on a world tour for almost a year, will end its tour on September 16 and 17 at Gocheok Sky Dome, Seoul. Previously, they toured more than 34 cities around the world including Jakarta, Indonesia.

In addition to the world tour, the four BLACKPINK members, namely Jennie, Rose, Lisa, and Jisoo, are also actively promoting solo. One of them, Lisa promoted with her solo songs, namely LALISA and Money where she performed a series of songs in the middle of a concert.
