JAKARTA - Hwasa MAMAMOO underwent an examination by the Seoul police after allegedly appearing indecent. Her appearance at one of the universities became controversial and led to a report to Hwasa.

Last month, the Student Parents' Rights Union filed a complaint against Hwasa's appearance at the festival at Sung Kinkwan University. Hwasa is considered to make provocative sexual gestures and embarrass the audience.

Hwasa performed the gesture while singing the song Don't, the duet song with rapper Loco.

The Seoul police confirmed that they had met with Hwasa for an investigation into the case on September 10 yesterday.

Launching The Korea Times, the police are currently determining whether they will continue the Hwasa case with the prosecutor. If this MAMAMOO member is found guilty, then he could be sentenced to one year in prison or pay a fine of 5 million won or Rp57 million.

Hwasa is also aware of the controversy and discussed her response when she appeared in Sung Si Kyung's latest video.

"Usually I don't range from hate comments but this time it's too much," Hwasa said.

"I ran into the parking lot because no one was there. I fell to the ground and cried, then finally came back calm after taking everything out," he said.

Hwasa also explained her latest song, I Love My Body became a form of response to the controversy. "I didn't say I would reject all criticism, but I thought it was better to ignore the painful thing."

I Love My Body has been Hwasa's first single since joining P Nation's new agency last July.
