That'70s Show Actor Danny Masterson Sentenced To 30 Years In Prison As A Result Of Harassment

Actor Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison after being convicted of sexual harassment. The '70s Show' star conducted a trial of two of the three reports after the first jury was unable to determine the charges in 2022.

Masterson was reportedly abused at his home in 2001 and 2003 when the series That 70s Show airs. When the retrial was held, the actor was found guilty of harassing two women in 2003.

The indictment filed by the third plaintiff in November 2001 was declared an cancellation of the trial. The actor pleaded not guilty to all charges and even planned to file an appeal.

Launching Variety, Charlaine Olmedo as judge said, 'Mr Masterson, you are not a victim here. Your actions 20 years ago took the voice and choice of others. Your actions 20 years ago were criminal, and that's why you're here.'

Then, the judge gave a 15-year sentence for each indictment and the actor was ordered to serve a consecutive sentence.

Born in 1976, Danny Masterson starred in the series That 70s Show for eight seasons. The popular series during this broadcast also catapulted Masterson's new acting career.

Masterson also starred in Yes Man, The Bridge to Everywhere, The Chicago 8, Men at Work, Alter Egos, and others.

He also played in the series The Ranch from Netflix from 2016 to 2018 with star Ashton Kutcher, his co-star in the series That 70s Show. But in the middle of filming 20 episodes, his role was removed after reports of sexual harassment were submitted to him.

Because of this case, Masterson became the only character not to return in the sequel series That 90s Show and his character was not mentioned at all throughout the series.
