JAKARTA - FIFTY FIFTY sued their agency CEO, Jeon Hong Joon from the ATTRAKT agency where they took shelter. Through law firm Barun, this group called Hong Joon a violation of several laws.

FIFTY FIFTY previously joined Jeon Hong Joon's agency, Star Crew Entertainment. But before debuting, they were transferred to ATTRAKT which caused financial problems between the two companies.

On August 17, 2023, FIFTY FIFTY (Keena, Saena, Sio, Aran) filed a lawsuit against ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon for violating the Special Economic Crimes Act (trust violation) at the Gangnam Seoul Police Station," Barun said representing the four members.

Jeon Hong Joon is said to have used their album distribution earnings for unknown expenses, then put the nominal into their group's investment costs. Their debt is paid off with FIFTY FIFTY's music and digital income.

The agency allegedly deliberately depends on FIFTY FIFTY's position to apply for an exclusive contract termination. Not only that, members also mention the agency is losing their income and providing income late.

"Therefore, as long as CEO Jong Hong Joon, who has committed a breach of trust through embezzlement and errors in financial accounting, remains responsible for ATTRAKT, they can no longer maintain exclusive contracts with their agency, ATTRAKT," they explained.

Previously, FIFTY FIFTY filed for an exclusive contract termination with ATTRAKT in June. However, the trial advised both parties to mediate rejected by FIFTY FIFTY members.

ATTRAKT claims FIFTY FIFTY was persuaded by their former producer, Ahn Sung Il to join another company, Warner Music Korea. AtTRAKT released a recording of the executive director asking Jeon Hong Joon to move FIFTY FIFTY which was previously discussed with Ahn Sung Il.

Moments after the lawsuit was filed, FIFTY FIFTY wrote letters to fans and the public in Korean and English. They know many people are looking forward to their clarification regarding exclusive contracts with their agency.

They also thanked the public for supporting and loving them. In his statement, the OWNer also asked not to judge the choice of members at this time.

"We want to justify the problems between us and the agency, and to keep our music, we have no other choice," FIFTY FIFTY said.

"We are careful in writing comments about our exclusive contracts. This does not mean we accept what is on the internet but we believe the trial is the right way to resolve the situation," he said.

On the other hand, FIFTY FIFTY is skyrocketing thanks to their songs. Most recently, they released their latest version of Sabrina Carpenter in collaboration.
