Pierre Gruno Is Still In Detention Until The Restorative Justice Process Is Complete

AKARTA - Pierre Gruno is preparing to undergo a restorative justice (RJ) process with GDS who are victims of persecution. It is known that the reporting party has asked for restorative justice from the South Jakarta Metro Police investigators.

"Regarding the case we are handling with the suspect PG, until now the victim has submitted a request for RJ," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Irwandhy Idrus when met Tuesday, August 15.

In addition to restorative justice, the reporter is known to have sent two other applications to investigators, namely a letter requesting the revocation of the police report and a peace agreement letter.

"It is one of the material requirements in handling cases through the RJ mechanism or restorative justice," said Irwandhy Idrus.

Later, investigators will hold a case title as a formal requirement to accommodate the initiation of both parties.

"So, basically restorative justice must be initiated by both parties, be it victims or suspects," said Irwandhy.

Regarding when the process will be completed, Irwandhy stated that his party would process requests from victims regarding the revocation and application for restorative justice.

"Later we will conduct a case title, we will also conduct additional examinations, both to the suspect and the victim, related to the process that was sent to us," he said.

Meanwhile, to wait for the entire process to be completed, Pierre Gruno is still in detention by South Jakarta Metro Police investigators.

"The victim is in good condition, well, we have met him. Then, until now, the suspect PG is still under detention by investigators. So, we are still detaining the person concerned until the process of completing the RJ mechanism or restoring justice is complete," concluded Irwandhy Idrus.
