Health Problems, Seungkwan Rests From SEVENTEEN Activities

JAKARTA - Unpleasant news came from SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan. PLEDIS Entertainment shared the news that he would be absent from group activities for a while.

"Recently, Seungkwan visited the hospital because he felt bad and medical staff advised Seungkwan to take a break and recover," explained the agency today, Monday, July 3.

Through his statement, Seungkwan was determined to continue his activities but the agency asked him to rest until his condition improved.

"The consequences are that Seungkwan cannot join the upcoming events such as the 2023 Tencent Music Entertainment Award (TMEA), a signature session with fans in China, and the SEVENTEEN TUR FOLLOW TO SEOUL," the agency said.

"We want to apologize to fans and ask for your understanding. We will do our best to support Seungkwan so that he can greet fans with good health. Thank you," he said.

This is the third time Seungkwan has been absent from SEVENTEEN's activities this year. In April, the agency apologized because Seungkwan did not participate in the appearance for their latest album.

Then at the end of April, PLEDIS stated that Seungkwan would not join all promotions for SEVENTEEN's new album, FML. This happened exactly a few days after Seungkwan's best friend, Moonbin ASTRO passed away.

"He (Seungkwan) is in a bad condition. We apologize and ask for the understanding of fans," said PLEDIS Entertainment at the time.

"Our company will provide the necessary support to Seungkwan during the recovery process. Thank you," they continued.
