JAKARTA - The couple Rizky Billar and Lesti Kejora inaugurated Leslar Records at an event held at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan on Saturday, June 24 evening.
The new musical label formed by Billar and Lesti is a continuation of Leslar Entertainment, which was already established.
Billar hopes that Leslar Records can contribute to the Indonesian music industry.
"Hopefully the birth of Leslar records can enliven the Indonesian music scene through a talent born by Leslar Records itself," said Rizky Billar after the event.
"Hopefully this can be something good in the future, it can be a forum for young talents who have talent but do not get sufficient facilities," he continued.
Despite starting a career not from the music world, Billar admitted that he had long paid attention to music. His love for the world, which has also raised his wife's name, challenged him to create and produce songs.
Currently, Billar says he is focusing on his new job as a songwriter, something he has actually been in demand for a long time.
"Because I often hear songs, so I sometimes like to get inspiration (to make songs). The only difference is that last year I never focused, only this year when I was free, when I focused more on one thing, finally became some of the songs I've made," he said.
Billar also did not deny that his decision to go further into the world of music was due to encouragement from his wife.
Lesti also believes that her husband can do his new job as a songwriter.
"Song treasurer is also more (than me), whether it's dangdut, pop or pop rock songs. Anyway, you have more song treasury than I do," said Lesti.
