Dito Mahendra's Lawyer Confirms That Nikita Mirzani's Arrest Is Not Criminalization

JAKARTA - Dito Mahendra, lover of singer Nindy Ayunda through his legal representative, Yafet Rissy, has again responded to the detention of Nikita Mirzani. Met by the media crew at the South Jakarta Metro Police on Wednesday, November 2, the lawyer reiterated that the detention was fully under the jurisdiction of the prosecutor.

Yafet thought that Nikita's detention was appropriate. He also believes that the prosecutor has a strong conviction to make an arrest. “The prosecutor already has a strong legal belief, a strong legal argument that for the allegations, at least at the delegation stage it has been fulfilled. Therefore, for the sake of prosecution, detention is carried out,” said Yafet.

Lawyers from Dito also feel more confident in the prosecutor's decision after learning that the suspension of detention proposed by Nikita Mirzani was rejected by the Serang District Attorney.

Regarding the news that said that Nikita Mirzani had been criminalized, Yafet firmly denied it and believed that the investigators had worked professionally.

“Out there, framing has been made as if Nikita Mirzani has been criminalized. I want to ask, what is criminalization? Detained, convicted, imprisoned, thrown into custody, or prosecuted without a legal basis, without legal reasons, without evidence, without a clear legal basis. That's criminalization," said Yafet.

"This is an open era, now it's completely transparent. I'm not sure that investigators are criminalizing, they are very professional, and they carry out their duties according to the Criminal Code. So don't frame it as if Nikita Mirzani is being criminalized," he continued.

Furthermore, Yafet thinks that no one is to blame for Nikita's detention except herself. “No one has punished Nikita Mirzani. It was her own actions that punished Nikita Mirzani," he said.

"Try if Nikita Mirzani uses her media responsibly, doesn't insult other people, does anyone report it to the police," he concluded.

As previously noted, Nikita Mirzani or who is usually called Nyai, has been detained by the Serang District Attorney (Kajari), after previously Dito Mahendra made a report at the Serang City Police on suspicion of defamation and violations of the ITE Law.
