Bringing Koes Plus Heritage, Damon Koeswoyo Releases Single Song Biarlah Ini Terjadi

JAKARTA - Damon Koeswoyo has realized his desire to recycle Koes Plus songs so that music lovers in the country can continue to enjoy them. Tonny Koeswoyo's son released the song Biarlah Ini Terjadi.

Biarlah Ini Terjadi is a song by Yon Koeswoyo which was included in the 1994 Koes Plus album. This song left a special impression on Damon considering that he was directly involved in the production of the album to replace his father's position.

Unlike previous Koes Plus songs that were sung by Damon, such as Panah Asmara (Yok Koeswoyo) and Cintamu Tlah Berlalu (Tonny Koeswoyo), which were performed in contemporary musical arrangements, this time Damon hopes Biarlah Ini Terjadi capture the essence of Koes Plus music better like when fronted by his father.

The initiative to recycle this song came about because Damon felt he liked and matched the tone of the song. Although the oldies' music arrangement is maintained, with a more modern instrument sound processing and a more aggressive beat, this song feels more lively than the original version.

"The path of progressive rock music or alternative rock of Damon Koeswoyo does not eliminate the melodic pulse that manifests in lively and communicative harmonies.
