JAKARTA - Chairman of the Association of Light Drinks Industry (Asrim) Triyono Prijosoesilo gave a critical response to the government's plan to apply excise duty for Packaging Drinks (MBDK). He said, Asrim members are not ready if this rule will be implemented in 2024. Because internally the growth of this industry has not yet recovered properly, it is still gradually rising towards growth before the COVID-19 pandemic. Another thing this application of excise will raise the selling price, it will make customers run. Because MBDK does not include primary needs. If that happens, the performance of association members will decrease.
