JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) ensures that the rice cooker distribution program will be carried out this month. In fact, it is already in the procurement process.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Dadan Kusdiana said, there have been a number of manufacturers who have started signing contracts.
The realization process of the program to distribute electric-powered rice (AML) feeders has been running.
"This year, we are walking. It has started to procure," he said when met at the Ministry of Transportation, Jakarta, Monday, November 13.
Dadan said, the initial target in November 2023 should have been distributed to the public for free rice cookers. However, the process is currently still at the procurement stage.
"Yes, from now on, we have realized it, but there are stages. The stage is that the procurement process has a contract," he said.
Furthermore, Dadan explained that the process of procuring this rice cooker through e-catalog, so that every domestic producer can be involved. Unfortunately, Dadang is reluctant to reveal which brands have found a bright spot.
Even so, Dadan said that a company had signed a free rice cooker procurement contract earlier.
"But the basis will still be a contract, now, now some have contracts. If it's not a contract now, it won't be finished. It's only a month away from now, it's almost 2 months," he explained.
