JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) and ACWA Power and PT Pupuk Indonesia are working together to build Integrated Green Hydrogen and Green busyia in Indonesia which will produce hydrogen that functions as alternative environmentally friendly fuels.

The agreement between these three companies will take place at the business matching at the flagship event of the 43rd ASEAN Summit, namely the ASEAN Indo Pacific Forum (AIPF) which will take place on 5 - 6 September 2023.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo explained that in the business matching, the three companies will discuss in more detail project development timelines. The three companies will also detail technical, legal, commercial, and risk aspects.

"Through this forum, PLN, ACWA and Pupuk Indonesia will finalize the project development plan in detail. This collaboration will not only develop the energy business ecosystem, but also encourage the national economy," said Darmawan, Saturday, September 2.

Darmawan said that this collaboration would generate more than 30 thousand tons of hydrogen and absorb investment of up to 1.35 billion US dollars.

Located in East Java, this hydrogen factory will also develop energy downstreaming in the form of green ammonia and green hydrogen which can be absorbed by the fertilizer industry. In the coming 2025 - 2026 this project will enter the development stage and is targeted to start operating in 2027.

"PLN opens active collaborations for all parties to jointly realize clean energy projects in Indonesia," concluded Darmawan.
