JAKARTA - In celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) as Pertamina Gas Subholding collaborates with PT Gagas Energi Indonesia as a subsidiary to hold a promo "Bajaj Gas Bumi Special Independence". On this special day PGN helped increase the use of natural gas for national natural gas independence.

"This Bajaj promo theorem is to play a role in the momentum of emission reduction, as well as to answer issues related to air quality whose conditions are reportedly not good. In addition, it is hoped that it can increase public awareness of using gas-based public transportation and contribute to better air quality," explained PGN Finance and Risk Management Director Fadjar Harianto Widodo at the launch of the Bajaj Kemerdekaan convoy at the Central PGN Office, Jakarta, August 17.

Also cooperating with the Bajaj Gas Community (Kobagas), PGN deployed 17 units of bajaj with special signs to circle the area around Central Jakarta and then spread to several base points, namely Sarinah, Monas, and Gondangdia Station. Bajaj, which was originally blue, was specially designed to be a red color as a form of celebrating the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

Passengers who ride Bajaj Kemerdekaan only need to pay Rp1,700/8 Km. To make it easier for passengers, payments can be made in cash or using QRIS.

This activity lasts for 8 days from 17-24 August 2023. Bajaj Kemerdekaan operates from 08.00 - 17.00 WIB during the period of carrying out activities.

In addition to being able to travel around Jakarta at an affordable price, 17 lucky passengers were also invited to play games and were entitled to a balance prize of IDR 500,000.

PGN also invites the public to be able to use clean and environmentally friendly public vehicles, such as bajaj with gas fuel (BBG) Gasku to travel.

"Hopefully this program can increase public awareness to use environmentally friendly public transportation, low-emission gas fuel," said Fadjar.

For information, bajaj BBG Gasku uses the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) gas stored in the tube. Utilization of natural gas as fuel has a more environmentally friendly emission exhaust gas. The costs incurred for buying BBG are also more affordable, namely Rp4,500/Liter Setara Premium (LSP).

In line with Indonesia's commitment to achieve Net Zero Emission (NZE) 2060, the use of clean and environmentally friendly vehicles is a tangible manifestation of PGN to continue to encourage the transition to new and renewable energy (EBT).

"This activity is PGN's effort to play an important role during the energy transition period, especially the use of energy, both natural gas," added Fadjar.

Fadjar also hopes that the Bajaj Kemerdekaan activity can increase Kobagas loyalty as a form of customer management program, and participate in increasing the positive image of Pertamina Group.
