Pertamina Drilling Wins Cooperation Contract With Exxonmobil Again Working On Banyu Urip Field

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (Pertamina Drilling), affiliated with PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, has again won a cooperation contract with Exxonmobil Cepu Limited (EMCL). The signing of the cooperation contract between Pertamina Drilling and Exxonmobil Cepu Limited was held in Jakarta, last Thursday 10 August.

The signing ceremony for the cooperation contract between Pertamina Drilling and Exxonmobil was also attended by the Head of SKK Migas, Dwi Soetjipto, along with the ranks, President of Exxonmobil Cepu Limited, Carole J. Gall, President Director of Pertamina Drilling, Rio Dasmanto, Director of PHE Development and Production, Awang Lazuardi, President Director of Pertamina EP Cepu, Endro Hartanto, President Commissioner of Pertamina Drilling, Nur Endro Buwono and Commissioner of Pertamina Drilling, Eko Budi Lelono.

In his remarks, the Director of Pertamina Drilling, Rio Dasmanto, said that with the signing of this contract, Pertamina Drilling has reached a higher level and is certainly in line with Pertamina Drilling's Vision as a world-class drilling and energy service.

"Pertamina Drilling as a National company is committed to continuing to prioritize the aspects of Health Safety Environment, operation excellence, good corporate governance and world-class services with the implementation of AKHLAK as the company's core value," Rio said in a written statement, Monday, August 14.

To repeat the previous achievements, Pertamina Drilling will use the Rig PDSI #40.3 which Specifies the Rig Cyber Electric VFD System with a capacity of 1500 HP. The advantages of this Rig are Fast Walking/Skidding, Compact Rig and Batch Drilling.

This portfolio rig managed to drill the Batch Drilling Exxon Mobil Cepu Limited Banyu Urip in 2013-2015. With 0 LTA Achievement and Down Time below 2 percent, this rig received an award as Nominated Best Rig Rig Drilling World Wide (President Award).

In its agreement, Pertamina Drilling is planned to work on 7 wells at Banyu Urip Field with a tax estimate in March 2024. This collaboration is also a form of Pertamina Drilling's commitment to always be ready to support national strategic projects, especially to support SKK Migas in realizing the national oil and gas production target of 1 million BOPD and 12 BSCFD by 2030.

"And hopefully in the future, cooperation with Pertamina Drilling will be re-established in drilling services and well intervention. Pertamina Drilling's achievement is also of course a form of performance contribution to PT Pertamina (Persero) which is the only Indonesian company as well as the only SOE that is included in Fortune Global 500 of 2023," said Rio.

In line with this, the Head of SKK Migas, Dwi Soetjipto also explained that the signing of the rig procurement contract for Banyu Urip Infill Classic drilling which we witnessed today is a representation of the success of collaboration between EMCL, PHE, and PDSI to accelerate rig revenue so that the drilling schedule can be moved forward from the original September 2024 to February 2024.
