JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the Indonesia Arena or the Indoor Multifunction Stadium (IMS) in the Gelora Bung Karno area, Jakarta, today.

Jokowi said that the multifunctional stage could not only be used for sports tournaments, but could be used as a place for music concerts.

"Indonesia, this arena can mainly be used for basketball tournaments, but it can also be used for badminton, volleyball, futsal, and also of course for concerts," said Jokowi in Jakarta, on Monday, August 7.

"I'm very happy (IMS) is used for sports, but concerts are also important because I'm happy," he said.

In line with President Jokowi, the Minister of PUPR said that IMS could indeed be used for concert activities.
