JAKARTA - President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero), Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok visited the Ministry of SOEs to meet Erick Thohir.

During the meeting, one of the discussions about Pertamina's business expansion plans in the African continent was discussed.

Furthermore, Ahok said, Pertamina's business expansion process in Africa will be assisted by Pahala Nugraha Mansury, who has just been appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (Wamenlu).

So, we are sure that he will help, right? He is part of Pertamina's investment," said Ahok when met at the Ministry of SOEs office, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 18.

Ahok said Pertamina would expand the reach of its various business products in the African continent. One of them is related to gas.

"There are kinds of things, we want to become a global company with a 100 billion US market cap, right, so I think with Pak Pahala's placement in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I think it's really suitable. Moreover, he already knows him," he said.

For your information, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Bisar Pandjaitan has revealed Pertamina's plan to build an oil refinery (refinery) in Kenya, Africa.
