JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk, (PTPP) together with other BUMN Karya, namely PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) managed to win a tender for two North-South Commuter Railway project packages in the Philippines.

The signing of the cooperation agreement in the construction of the two project packages was signed on Thursday, July 14 at the Malacanan Palace, Manila, Philippines. The signing of the cooperation contract agreement was represented by Pande Ketut as SVP of the Infrastructure Operations Division of PTPP and Isman Widodo as General Manager of Railway Department ADHI which was attended and witnessed directly by Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr together with Indonesian Ambassador to the Philippines Agus Widjojo, Novel Arsyad as President Director of PTPP and Entus Asnawi Mukhson as President Director of ADHI.

The North-South Commuter Railway construction project, which is located in the Philippines, was carried out by the Joint Venture BUMN Construction company from Indonesia, namely ADHI and PTPP. The two project packages won by the BUMN consist of the CP S-01 package for the construction of a 1.2 kilometer railway and CP S-03C for the construction of a 5.8 kilometer railway.

The announcement of the winners of the two projects has been made on February 17, 2023 for the CP S-01 Package project and on June 26, 2023 for the CP S-03C Package project. The CP S-01 package has a scope of work consisting of building work and civil engineering for the construction structure of the train viaduct for approximately 1.2 kilometers including the 1 (one) flyover station in Bluementritt. The C S-01 package has a contract value of around IDR 3.1 trillion with an implementation period of 4 years.

Meanwhile, the CP S-03C Package has a scope of work consisting of building work and civil engineering for the structure of the Rp5 million long train viaduk including the construction of 2 (two) fly stations in Bicutan and Sucat. Package C S- 03C has a contract value of around Rp5 trillion with an implementation period of 5.5 years.

PTPP President Director Novel Arsyad said that in the construction of the North-South Commuter Railway project, PTPP has been trusted by the Philippine Government to work on project development in the country. The signing of the cooperation contract was carried out on Thursday, July 13.

The company expressed its gratitude for the trust given by the Philippine Government in trusting PTPP so that the company contributed to the construction of the project worth a total of more than Rp. 8 trillion. In the construction of the project, PTPP formed a Joint Venture with ADHI where PTPP received a job portion of 49 percent.
