JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) runs a series of electric multiple units/comprehensive inspection trains (EMU/CIT) of the Jakarta Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB) to test the electricity of the KCJB overhead system (OCS).
The test was carried out by running EMU/CIT on the Depo Tegalluar route, Tegalluar Station, Bandung Regency to Halim Station, East Jakarta which was carried out on Friday (19/5) and is scheduled to resume on Saturday.
KCIC Corporate Communication Manager Emir Monti said the activity was a continuation of the KCJB testing stage which had been carried out so far.
"On Friday (19/5), a sampling testing was carried out to ensure that all OCS had been electrified by running EMU for testing and the plan was followed by CIT travel the following day. This is a follow-up to the electricity distribution which was first carried out on Thursday (18/5) night throughout the OCS KCJB network," Emir said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, May 20.
The stages of testing activities are internal tests carried out by KCJB contractors accompanied by independent consultants and report the results periodically to KCIC.
